Overview
The Production Associate is responsible for assisting in the production of food products in accordance with company standards and procedures.
Job Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety standards and wear all required safety equipment;
- Operate and monitor production line equipment, including but not limited to conveyors, fillers, sealers, and packaging machinery, following standard operating procedures;
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery to ensure proper functioning, identifying and addressing any issues or malfunctions promptly;
- Conduct visual inspections of products at various stages of the production process, identifying defects or deviations from quality standards;
- Follow established sanitation protocols to ensure cleanliness and food safety compliance within the production area, including routine cleaning of equipment and workspaces;
- Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and adjustments according to production schedules and product specifications;
- Record production data accurately and maintain detailed logs and records of equipment performance, production output, and quality control checks;
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of hazardous materials;
- Participate in training sessions to enhance job knowledge and skills;
- Performs other required tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment within the food industry;
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices, including HACCP and GMP guidelines;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly, and follow instructions accurately;
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance;
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that may require standing, bending, and lifting,
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic;
- Regular and predictable attendance.
