Overview

 

The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for enhancing production efficiency, reducing waste, and improving product quality.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement;
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste;
  • Utilize lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline operations;
  • Lead and manage continuous improvement projects from conception to completion;
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success;
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet objectives;
  • Collect and analyze data on production performance;
  • Use statistical methods to identify trends and root causes of inefficiencies;
  • Prepare reports and present findings to management;
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure product consistency and safety;
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations;
  • Work with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues;
  • Train employees on new processes and improvement initiatives;
  • Develop training materials and conduct workshops to promote a culture of continuous improvement;
  • Provide ongoing support and coaching to ensure adherence to best practices;
  • Ensure that all improvement initiatives comply with health and safety regulations;
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with process changes;
  • Maintain documentation of all process changes and improvements;
  • Perform other required tasks as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field;
  • Proven experience in a continuous improvement role, preferably in the food processing industry;
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams;
  • Proficiency in data analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Experience with quality control and assurance in a food processing environment;
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
